Reliance Energy Wraps Up Successful IBS 2026 Showcase

ORLANDO, FL – March 26, 2026 – Reliance Energy, a pioneer in high-performance cylindrical tabless lithium-ion cells, successfully concluded its participation at the 43rd International Battery Seminar & Exhibition (IBSE 2026), held March 23–26 in Orlando, Florida.

During the event, Dr. Andrew Liang, Sales & Marketing VP, delivered a presentation titled “High-Performance & Innovative Cylindrical Tabless Li-ion Batteries for Extreme Application,” highlighting the company’s proprietary tabless architecture. Key performance metrics shared included 80A continuous discharge, 200A pulsed discharge, 10-minute fast charge (0-80% SOC), and 280-300Wh/Kg specific energy.

A central theme of the presentation was Reliance’s commitment to cell consistency—a critical factor for high-volume applications. The company’s quality system ensures tight control across electrode manufacturing, particle management, and formation processes, delivering shipped cells with capacity variation <40mAh, voltage variation <40mV, and ACIR variation <0.4mΩ.

In a notable moment during the conference, Reliance Chairwoman & CEO Maggie Chen met with Professor Jeff Dahn, widely regarded as a pioneer in lithium-ion battery research. The two engaged in an in-depth discussion on next-generation battery technologies and shared perspectives on advancing the industry through innovation and collaboration.

At Booth #903, the Reliance team showcased its 21-series tabless cells (RS40, RS50, RS60, and RH60) alongside 46-series cylindrical cells, drawing significant interest from engineers and decision-makers across the BBU, drone, and robotics sectors.

“The conversations at IBSE reaffirmed what we’ve long believed—that the market is ready for tabless technology, and that reliability at scale is just as important as raw performance,” said Maggie Chen, “We remain committed to doing the hard but right thing in advancing energy storage.”

With RS50 in mass production since early 2025, and RH60 and RS60 scheduled for mass production in Q2 and Q4 2026 respectively, Reliance continues to expand its production capacity to meet growing global demand.
