Recently, the Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology announced the results of the 2025 Innovative Product recognition. Reliance’s “High-Capacity, High-Power Tabless Large Cylindrical Cell” was successfully selected based on its core technological breakthroughs and outstanding performance. This honor not only represents official high recognition of the product’s innovation and industrial value but also highlights the company’s leading strength in the field of tabless batteries, adding another highlight to the advanced manufacturing landscape of Changzhou, the “New Energy Capital.”

As a specialized and innovative enterprise focused on tabless technology, this recognition is the culmination of the Reliance team’s deep dedication to the high-end cylindrical battery field and multiple rounds of iterations. The product disrupts the traditional double-tab design by reconstructing the current path with an tabless structure, shortening electron transmission distance, fundamentally breaking the internal resistance bottleneck of the cell, and achieving synergistic improvement in power density and energy density. Power output is doubled compared to traditional cells, with simultaneous optimization of charging speed and thermal performance.

This cell combines multiple core advantages such as high capacity and high power. Relying on precise electrode design and advanced processes, it effectively reduces the proportion of structural components like the casing, increases the utilization rate of active materials, and upgrades both energy density and cycle life. Simultaneously, Reliance’s tabless structure reduces the risk of manufacturing defects, ensuring product consistency and safety while controlling overall costs. It not only performs excellently in original application fields but also widely adapts to new multi-scenario demands such as low-altitude aircraft, humanoid robots, and energy storage. Its characteristics of ultra-high-rate discharge, wide temperature range adaptation, and high safety can meet both the instantaneous power output and flight safety requirements for vertical take-off and landing of low-altitude aircraft, as well as the rapid response and enduring range requirements for complex motion execution of humanoid robots, providing core power support for the development of emerging fields.

It is reported that the Changzhou Innovative Product recognition strictly follows national industrial policies, focuses on advanced technological directions, and undergoes rigorous screening including multi-department consultations, formal reviews, credit checks, and expert evaluation. This selection fully validates the dual competitiveness of Reliance’s product in technological innovation and market potential.

Reliance, which began establishing itself in Changzhou at the end of 2022, has adhered to the philosophy of “winning with products” since its inception. It has formed a core team comprised of top doctoral talents and senior Japanese engineers, with the founder team each possessing over twenty years of experience in the lithium battery industry. From achieving the first cell output from its mass production line in early 2025, to the global first mass production release of the tabless RS50 cell in March 2025, and the global first release of the tabless RH60/RS60 cells in May 2025, the company has steadily solidified its 50GWh+ capacity layout, fulfilling its mission of innovation.
